Boy group Fahrenheit (飞轮海) broke many hearts when they disbanded in 2013. Almost a decade later, Brunei-born actor and singer Wu Chun (吴尊) has entertained the idea of getting the boys back together one last time— on one condition.
Despite Fahrenheit’s popularity, the group disbanded years ago and have not fully reunited since. While they’ve had their reasons, fans still hope for the day they will come together again. But, some are now reconsidering their wish, especially in light of the members’ life circumstances.
Things weren’t always the best for Fahrenheit, when members Wu Chun, Jiro Wang (汪东城), Aaron Yan (炎亚纶) and Calvin Chen (陈奕儒) were together. Still, the group made a mark on their fans and there are still some who wish to see all of them together again today. Recently, one netizen brought up the possibility to Wu Chun on his Weibo.
“Can I still see your concert in my lifetime?” they asked. “After all, I grew up listening to you sing!” They also added that they would like to witness Fahrenheit reunite. To everyone’s surprise, Wu Chun responded. “(If) you can convince the other three, then I’ll come,” he said. His unexpected response garnered much excitement from his fans.
Most surmised that if Jiro could be persuaded, both Aaron and Calvin would naturally follow. But, others pointed out that Jiro, Calvin and Wu Chun would usually meet up for dinner, leaving Aaron the odd man out. Aaron himself has claimed that he only gets along with Wu Chun, and isn’t friends with the other two. Additionally, Aaron’s recent scandal has some fans frowning at the idea of him reuniting with the group.
Well, we’re sure there are some who would love to see Wu Chun, Aaron Yan, Jiro Wang and Calvin Chen standing together on the same stage again. But, given where they are in their lives right now, we doubt the reunion will happen any time soon. Still, one can dream, we suppose!
