Dato’ Seri Aliff Syukri has never been one to shy away from controversy. Previously, the entrepreneur set the internet ablaze when he proudly declared himself as the “No. 1 singer” in Malaysia. Even the iconic songstress Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza jokingly humoured his nonsense.
Just recently, Aliff revealed that he has decided to return the “title” back to TokTi. In a video posted on the TikTok page @butik.ashijab, the former’s mom, Bonda Rozita brought up the viral issue regarding his past comment on the “Anugerah Juara Lagu” winner’s IG post.
“What’s your problem? You’re so stupid. Fortunately, Siti Nurhaliza was not offended (by your comment). While Siti is always being humble, you’re so full of yourself,” Bonda Rozita told Aliff. “I’m sorry, Siti. My son always behaves like that. He’s aware that you are Malaysia’s number one singer.”
The “Chu Ku Chuk Raya” singer then said, “It’s okay, you don’t have to be afraid. Even if you’re placed behind me, I will still support you. Your singing is good, but it’s a bit off-key. You can use my voice as a reference.” Following that episode, Bonda Rozita told Aliff to apologise to TokTi.
“Since my mother is so mad at me, I would like to apologise for unintentionally hurting your feelings. You’re the number one singer now. I accept this fact with an open heart. I’ll return this award (title) back to you. I’m sorry. I won’t do it again. You can take the title back. It’s okay, I’m fine with dropping to second place. Thank you, Siti Nurhaliza,” the wealthy businessman expressed.
