Tired of hearing “Jingle Bells” or other classic Christmas songs every time you walk into a mall or turn on the radio? f(x) has got a little something different for you.
Since Christmas is approaching, the K-Pop idol girl group has released a new digital single as part of SM Entertainment‘s special winter project, “Winter Garden“.
f(x) is the first artiste to be releasing a Christmas-themed track for the “Winter Garden” project.
Titled “Wish List”, the song is not the typical Christmas song that you’d expect to hear during this holiday season. But of course, you can still tell that it’s a joyful Christmas track as you can hear sleigh bells jingling in it. At some point, the song slightly resembles “4 Walls“, their comeback single that was composed by Andreas Oberg and Maria Marcus, the same UK producing duo who gave us SHINee‘s “View” and “Married To The Music“, as well as Red Velvet‘s “Dumb Dumb”.
Red Velvet and BoA will be releasing new winter singles for the project on 18th December and 22nd December respectively.
It became clear that SM Entertainment is looking to dominate the music charts with its series of winter projects. TaeTiSeo, the sub-unit group of SM’s Girls’ Generation/SNSD, swept real-time music charts with their newly-released Christmas album, “Dear Santa“. The group’s label mate EXO also topped the music charts with the release of their winter special album titled “Sing For You”.
