Nur Sajat angered the internet community once again following her controversial statement that made its way online recently.
In the viral clip posted on Instagram, the 35-year-old boasted about the fact that none of the queer figures have been infected with the coronavirus. As a result, Sajat has been harshly criticised by locals who argued that she was being insensitive about the issue.

Refusing to stay mum, Sajat has come forth to set the record straight. She explained, “I know that a lot of people are angry after the video went viral, including the ustaz (Muslim teacher). I’m really sorry for that. I just want to clarify that the clip was edited by an irresponsible party. In fact, the edited part of the video was taken from my Instagram Live session. I only responded after a follower claimed that queer figures are the main cause of the Covid-19 pandemic.”
She added, “He asked the same question repeatedly just to provoke me. So, my question is why would you want to blame gender for Covid-19? Everyone is vulnerable to this virus. Plus, you’re already aware of where this disease originated from. Because of our queer identity, you decided to slam us for being the main cause. That’s why I defended my community in the statement.”
The “Makhluk Penggoda” songstress further added that she has never made any live broadcast on social media just to touch on the sensitive topic. “For those who have watched my Instagram Live, they can probably vouched for me in regards to the netizens’ question,” she told the local news outlet.
“As for the viral clip, I went live not just merely to talk about the topic. If they wanted to show I’m guilty, why did they post only the edited version and not the full version?” the famed transsexual figure defended herself.
There will always be internet trolls, she just needs to mute or block them.
