Who’s excited for the 10th Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2019?
It originally supposed to take place last year but was postponed to this year. Great things take time and the organisers of MyBalloonFiesta aims to deliver. The launched today (Monday, 25th February) unveiled 20 balloons from 14 countries.
The aforementioned countries include Spain, Slovakia, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Belgium, USA, United Kingdom, South Korea and many others. Visitors can look forward to 7 special shape balloons making an appearance this year.
Look out for these balloons: Robot Woozi by Ricardo Almeida, Pink Gnome by Jordi Diaz, Bruno the Clown by Lubor Lelovits, Pink Elephant by Peter Van Overwalle, Tako the Octopus by Koji Ota, Happy Chan by Mamoru Endo, and the Black Bear by Chiu Da Hi.
This year’s highlight is expected to be the balloon igloo. Spanish artist Jordi Enrique, who recycles old hot air balloons into an igloo like structure, will be showcasing a light and motion show during the weekend, at the pink zone during the weekend from 7pm – 10pm.
During the 4-day event, visitors will get to watch balloonists compete in ballooning competition, enjoy hot air balloon rides, fun activities, an F&B bazaar and the Night Glow event.
There will also be a corporate zone from the Fiesta’s sponsors, such as Oppo Malaysia, Gamuda Land Sdn Bhd, Dorsett Putrajaya Hotel, D’Tandoor Food Ind. Sdn Bhd, Doof The World Sdn Bhd, Rakita, Aforadio Marketing Sdn Bhd, Ripple, Love Food Festival, Biji Biji Design Sdn Bhd and Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd.
