The rule of this “handover balloon” is that it will be shared among many different pilots and no one can fly the balloon twice. By the end of its journey, it is with hope that the balloon has reached all corners of the globe and be flown for about 300 – 400 flights. Having recently landed in Malaysia to continue its Asian leg of the journey, the organisers are excited to host the Friendship Balloon at the 8th Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. Among their local pilots who will be making their flight on the balloon includes veteran balloonist Sobri Saad and the “balloon sisters”, Izzati and Atiqah Khairudin.
