The 8th Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF) will return home to Precinct 2 again this year in March to meet the nation.

The event will be held over the course of 3 days from 11th to 13th March, featuring another amazing line-up of international balloonists and a new variety of attractions and side events.

In addition to the previously announced activities, it was also revealed that 5 special shaped balloons that will be attending 2016’s Fiesta.

Bobo, the Happy Lobster, all the way from Belgium will be flown by Geert Van Wolvelaer, the yellow jacket Bee Balloon from Brazil, flown by Francisco Naccarato, Mister Z the Zebra piloted by Jonathan Wright from United States of America and the main highlight, the Alien Rocket balloon, its first time flying in Asia, flown by Alain Bard from Canada. Other international normal-shaped balloons are from France, Netherlands, United Kingdom, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, Malaysia and Poland.

Among the exciting upgraded features of the 8th Fiesta is the Launching Field Access and Night Glow Access, where the capacity has been doubled to enable visitors to get closer to the balloons. In the Pink Zone, a dedicated yoga and Zumba session is now offered to visitors while they enjoy the enchanting view of balloons flying over them.

MyBalloonClub moves to a more prominent spot at the Blue Zone; giving its members the best view and the cosiest seats in the house, and provides all access to the Fiesta ground. Premium Tethered Balloon Rides are exclusively available for purchases of this membership only.
