Not too long ago, four winners from Malaysia once scored a shared jackpot of RM28.6 million, shocking netizens with their luck. While their identities were kept secret, they did disclose how they planned to use the money, with the majority going towards their children’s savings.
In a more recent case of lottery wins, a lucky man from Penang scored RM21.3 million all to himself in a Toto 4D lottery win! News outlets confirmed that the identity of the jackpot winner was a retired construction worker.
The 64-year-old lottery winner had been betting on the same two 4-digit numbers, 5841 and 1562, years before winning, as it was the number of his family member’s car plates. “I was overjoyed when I checked my tickets,” said the man, who had the same numbers displayed on the second and third prizes as his slip.
Speaking to news outlets, the retiree feels as if a burden has been lifted off his shoulders with his win and is now able to live the rest of his life comfortably. Besides a pleasant retirement, the winner also said that he would put some amount in a fixed deposit account to ensure a steady income for the future.
