BLACKPINK’s Lisa (리사) has set the stage for her solo debut with a tantalising teaser for her upcoming music video, “Rockstar”. On the morning of 26th June, the teaser was released on LLOUD Official’s YouTube channel, instantly capturing fans’ attention with the idol’s intense and daring visuals.
The short clip showcases the rapper’s charismatic performance, significantly heightening the anticipation for her solo venture. The teaser highlights Lisa’s new aesthetic, through her stunning outfits including a tooth gem, and iconic dance moves, set against a backdrop that exudes a bold, almost gangster-like atmosphere. Though the promo pictures faced some backlash, fans reacted with overwhelming excitement, leaving comments such as “The queen returning to her rightful kingdom again!” and “Look at her being bold, free, and fierce.”
“Rockstar” marks Lisa’s first album release under LLOUD Company, following her new partnership with RCA Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music. This strategic partnership with one of the three major distributors in North America is expected to amplify the BLACKPINK member’s reach and solidify her presence in the global music scene.
Following her activities with her group, the main dancer is set to connect with her fans on a new level as a global pop artist through “Rockstar”. This solo endeavour is poised to showcase her versatility and unique style, further establishing her as a powerhouse in the music industry.
