There have been numerous times when Capital A CEO Tony Fernandes made a surprise appearance on an AirAsia flight to personally greet the passengers and thank them for their ongoing support. One of his last appearances was when he helped a cabin crew distribute the in-flight meals to passengers.

While we can’t be too sure if this recent appearance was him fulfilling the promise of giving out free in-flight meals to everyone onboard, he was definitely giving out free drinks. While he was at it, he caught a passenger breaking a rule. Here’s how he handled the situation:

Just pre-book your @santan meals. It’s way cheaper than outside food and drinks 😅

Yesterday (Thursday, 1st February), Capital A CEO Tony Fernandes posted a video on his TikTok channel of him personally giving out free in-flight drinks to AirAsia passengers. When he reached a certain row, he noticed that one of the passengers had their own food with her. He jokingly called the passenger out saying, “No outside food or drinks allowed”.

The woman can be seen smiling after being caught and when the CEO asked what food she had with her, she replied that it was Spicy Korean Chicken. As “punishment”, the passenger did not receive any free drinks from AirAsia. Tony then resumed giving out drinks to the other passengers onboard. Just like the last time, netizens were delighted to see the businessman making a surprise appearance and giving out food and drinks to passengers.

As seen in the comments above, many praised Tony for being humble and how he “confronted” the passenger for breaking the rules. Others were genuinely curious as to how the woman managed to sneak her meal onto the flight. Of course, many would argue that it’s not an impossible task to do so.
