It’s terrifying when you realise a stranger is following you with unknown intentions. This lady was certainly left traumatised after a visit to AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18 turned alarming when a random man started stalking her.
The lady reportedly shared the horrifying experience on her Facebook at 11am yesterday (18th January). She was walking alone in AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18 when she suddenly realised a stranger was following her. To make matters worse, she suspected the other had been carrying a gun.
She shared that she had been eating out at a restaurant in AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18 with her family on 16th January, around 8pm when she excused herself to visit the toilet. She headed to the first floor, but as soon as she left the restaurant, she realised there was a strange man following her. “He was wearing black clothes, a black mask and a black hat. When I was almost at the toilet, I turned around and saw that he was still following me,” she shared.
Panicked, she hurriedly entered the toilet. Right before she did so, she noticed the other man reaching for something in his bag. However, something else fell out instead and according to her, she suspects it was a handgun. She then hid in the toilet and attempted to call her boyfriend for help. It unfortunately took a while as the phone signal was poor.
Thankfully, by the time he arrived, the strange man was nowhere to be seen. The couple walked out together, only for an uncle to approach her. “The uncle asked if I had been followed by a man just now. (Apparently,) he and his wife noticed (the incident)! So, they waited outside the toilet for me to ensure the man would not have a chance to attack me,” she said.
Still, despite the help she received, the lady was left badly shaken and in tears. She later wrote the post to warn other ladies of the area, concerned there may be another victim. On our end, we hope she’s feeling better and we sincerely hope AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18 will look into the issue.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first stalking incident we’ve had this month. So far, there’s been reports of it happening at Mont Kiara and Plaza Shah Alam too. We urge the public to remain cautious of their surroundings, especially if there is no one else present in the area.
