Entrepreneur-singer Iqbal Zulkefli has certainly made a name for himself in the entertainment business (possibly due to his many past controversies). Even before stepping into the spotlight, the 29-year-old claimed that he was making a ton of money before completing his diploma.
However, despite his entrepreneurship and his status as a celebrity, it seems that he has been struggling to pay his monthly commitments. The singer took to Instagram to share how much money he actually needs to keep his small family afloat.
Earlier this week, Iqbal Zulkefli posted a few Stories on his Instagram to share about his “financial struggles”. According to the celeb, an income of RM50k a month is (shockingly) hardly enough to pay for all his commitments. In the first Story, he shared the total amount of his recent electricity bill had exceeded RM1,600.
“My basic commitments every month are no less than RM50k for the past five years. Without RM50k a month I can’t live my daily life,” he said. The controversial public figure also revealed that milk for his adopted child cost him thousands a month. Apparently, in order to pay for his commitments and buy necessities, the entrepreneur had to sell some of his furniture at much lower prices than when he first bought them.
In another IG Story, Iqbal claimed that netizens have been flooding his DMs, questioning the prices he set for the furniture and items he was selling. The singer then explained that he originally bought those items at prices ranging from RM20k to RM30k because of their quality. “I’m not selling them to make a profit. I just simply do not want to keep them anymore. If I gave away [furniture] for free, then people would fight over it.”
If RM50k a month isn’t enough to sustain his “glamorous” lifestyle, perhaps Iqbal should reflect on his expenses and make necessary changes now that there’s a child involved.
