For most people, being confident in your own body doesn’t come naturally. Many have to work hard to love themselves just the way they are. Celebrities are no exception to this as they’re always easy targets for body shaming.
Those in the spotlight will need work much other to drain out the outside noise. Celebs like Nabila Huda isn’t afraid to fire back at netizens for the constant bullying. She’s also one to ignore comments on social media. Now, the public figure is sharing her thoughts on women’s obsession with skin-whitening products.

Malaysian actress Nabila Huda is not one to stay silent on an issue that’s important to her. Yesterday (Thursday, 19th January), the actress took to Twitter to express some of her opinions regarding Malay women who are obsessed with whitening their skin to become fairer. “Our natural skin colour shows our true beauty. Brown sugar [skin colour] is sexy you know. I love my skin so much and I am so proud of it,” she tweeted.
In a follow-up tweet, the 38-year-old also warned others about the dangers of excessive use of skin-whitening products. “What if your skin turns grey when you’re old due to the effects of expired products?” the “M4M4” star said sarcastically. The Malaysian celeb took the time to remind all women to not be influenced by what they see or read on social media.
The Anugerah Skrin (Screen Awards) Best Actress winner reminded women to love themselves the way they are by tweeting, “We are beautiful in our own way! Just be [yourself] and love yourself more.” She insisted that brown skin is more beautiful, especially when seen under the sun. Fans and netizens responded to her series of tweets, thanking her for speaking up on the issue and for her inspiring words. Some even shared their years of struggles with self-love.

It’s encouraging to see Nabila Huda reminding everyone, especially women, to love and embrace their natural beauty.
