Well-loved artiste Jackson Wang (王嘉爾/왕잭슨) has regretfully left Malaysia to continue his “Magic Man World Tour“. Still, Jackson made quite an impression before he left. Not only did he charm two single ladies during his long-awaited concert, Jackson was also spotted around KL enjoying himself before he had to go.
One of the things Jackson absolutely wanted to do before he left for Singapore was to try some mamak food. Well, he definitely got his chance yesterday (20th December)! And of course, Jackson had to share his opinion of the food with us Malaysians. While he found some of it spicy, he definitely had a clear favourite!
Right before he left for Singapore, Jackson took the opportunity to taste our renowned mamak food that Malaysians have been telling him all about since the Good Vibes festival. As it turned out, Jackson decided to visit Q Bistro in Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) for his authentic mamak experience.
Fans were delighted when Jackson surprised them with an unplanned Instagram Live. During the stream, Jackson showed off the food he was about to try, which included nasi briyanni, naan, tandoori chicken and papadam. Needless to say, fans were absolutely overjoyed with his food choices.
Jackson apparently found some of the food spicy. But, he really loved the papadam. “Papadam’s the best!” he reportedly declared. Jackson also tried some roti tisu and a milo dinosaur. He later added the joking caption: “1st time in history before 4pm” to his Instagram Story.
We’re definitely sad Jackson has left Malaysia. But we’re also really glad he got to try mamak food before he left! Hopefully, he comes back soon. Still, in the meantime, we wish him all the best as he finishes his “Magic Man World Tour”!
