It’s A Sad Day As F.O.S Mid Valley Closes Down After 22 Years

The pandemic has left countless businesses in the dark — with travel restrictions and strict standard operation procedures (SOPs). Contrary to popular belief that the ones affected by the pandemic would only be small businesses, it seems to a sad fact that even mega franchises are being forced to close down in the midst of the pandemic.

Previously, we’ve seen Robinsons closing down last year. According to a survey conducted by the Malaysian Shopping Malls Association (PPK) in August this year, it was clear that the majority of malls had only between 10% and 20% of tenants still operating within their premises. This has resulted in a 905 sales drop in Malaysian malls!

Now, to add on to the list of closed outlets in Malaysia, the famed F.O.S outlet in Mid Valley would be ceasing operations after 22 years of serving Malaysians. According to their latest post on their Facebook page, F.O.S officially released a statement regarding this.

The post states, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of our F.O.S Store in Mid Valley Megamall after serving our customers for 22 years. The impact of Covid-19 on the Malaysian economy is forcing us to make some tough decisions in order to continue to serve our customers better. But we are thankful for all your support and on F.O.S  brand over the years and we’ll continue to adapt and innovate in order to serve you better going forward. Kindly visit any of our existing outlets near you within the Klang Valley area. For further details, kindly refer to our outlet list.”

Although this piece of news seems to be very devastating for those who’ve had memories with this particular F.O.S outlet, fret not because the other outlets are still opened! Albeit heartbreaking, life still has to go on and hopefully, we would not come across more news of our favourite outlets closing down.
