Two years ago on the 10th of January, the world said goodbye to Ziggy Stardust.
After an 18-month battle with liver cancer, David Bowie eventually succumbed to the illness and passed away in his apartment in New York City.
Bowie reigned the music scene in the 70s, he shot to fame after “Space Oddity” made Top 5 on the UK singles chart in 1969. He continued to enjoy overwhelming success with another hit single, “Heroes”, and subsequently “Starman”. Bowie became a household name after the release of his fifth studio album, ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’, which earned him worldwide success.

Bowie was also admired for challenging the cultural norms of his time, he perpetuated an androgynous alter-ego on stage, painted his face as he pleased, and created his own idea of a rock-star.
