Are YG Entertainment actors Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung an item?
On Monday (24th April), various reports claimed that the actors, who played onscreen lovers in MBC’s K-Drama “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” (역도요정 김복주), are dating!
According to sources, the alleged couple got close after filming the drama together and started dating in January. An insider said, “They care for each other so much that their friends are all supporting them.”
Dating rumours sparked after Lee took to Instagram to share a photo taken from Coldplay’s Seoul concert. The photo shows a man holding Lee’s ankles. Upon seeing the post, which has since been deleted, many netizens speculated that the man is Nam.
Besides that, Dispatch has also dropped several “evidences” that prove the 2 stars are dating. The media outlet said, “Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk are current in a relationship. From being really close actor friends, they have now become a couple. We, Dispatch, discovered them on a date.”
Apparently, the 23-year-old actor and 26-year-old actress have couple bucket hats and they once went to a church in Inchon-dong together.

It’s on! Not only after news of Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung’s alleged relationship first surfaced, South Korean entertainment powerhouse YG Entertainment confirmed that the 2 are indeed dating. A source from YG Entertainment stated, “After checking with Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk, they confirmed that after being close friends since their modeling days, the pair recently developed romantic feelings for one another and are dating well now.”
