Is SM Entertainment in trouble?
f(x)’s Amber left a cryptic message on Instagram earlier today (Tuesday, 14th March), lamenting the fact that she’s been “neglected, hurt, and taken advantage of”.
A simple black image was posted with the caption, but she did not explain who it was addressed to.
Her post reads:
“I’ve given my everything. I tried to work things out. Whether it be the creative or business, I’ve been doing everything myself for years so I can keep myself afloat. But in the end, I’m continuously neglected, hurt, and taken advantage of. I’ve been patient… the fans have been extremely patient and I can’t take it anymore just sitting around, waiting, being constantly rejected and given false hope. I’m so tired mentally and physically and this is where I draw the line. No more.”
However, fans have come up with their own conclusion and speculate that it’s directed at her label, SM Entertainment. Many are saying that she’s retaliating as the company puts f(x) on the back burner and gives them minimal schedules. Others are saying that she wants to promote with more solo music, but her efforts have been rebuffed by SM Entertainment.
ME Us (as fans of f(x) are lovingly known) have also left messages of encouragement on her social media account, hoping that it’ll help her through this rough patch.
This is not the first time a SM Entertainment artiste has aired their complaints on social media. In December 2016, Super Junior M’s Henry left a few ambiguous comments on his Instagram.
He explained that he’s “tired” and “fed up”, and asked for fans to speak to his company on his behalf as they won’t listen to him. The artiste also said that the company is “too big” now and it “can’t support” him. He deleted the comments soon after.
