“In the end of the day, people are out for themselves.”
Set in a remote office building, “The Belko Experiment” focuses on a deadly social experiment that forces unsuspecting workers to kill each other, or else. The upcoming thriller is helmed by “Wolf Creek” director Greg McLean while screenwriter James Gunn (of “Guardians of the Galaxy” fame) penned the script.
The official plot is as follows:
“‘The Belko Experiment’ explores a twisted social experiment, in which a group of 80 Americans are locked in their high-rise corporate office in Bogata and ordered by an unknown voice on an intercom system to participate in a deadly game of kill or be killed.”
We don’t know about you guys but we liked how the film sounds like a crossover project for “Office Space” and “Battle Royale” (a Japanese film where 42 high school students fight for survival in a deserted island). On a side note, the R-rated movie promises a lot of violence, blood, and insanity – if you’re into that sort of thing.

“I cannot tell you how passionate and excited I am about this project! It’s a script I wrote a few years ago, for which I have always had a deep love. Believe it or not, it’s a film that first came to me in a dream, and I woke up and wrote the first draft in a 2-week fugue state binge,” said Gunn when the film was first announced on his Facebook page in 2015.
Slated for release on 14th March 2017, “The Belko Experiment” stars John Gallagher Jr., Melonie Diaz, John C. McGinley, Tony Goldwyn, David Dastmalchian, and more.
