This is it you guys, Christina Grimmie’s 4 part mini-series visual “Side A” project is finally concluding.
Back in July, Grimmie’s family and manager, Brian Teefey, announced that they will be releasing 4 never-before-seen music videos which the late singer filmed before her untimely death. For the past month, fans were treated to a new video each week, and yesterday (1st September), the last and final instalment was released.
“Without Him” is a strong, empowering pop anthem that serves as a closing for “The Ballad of Jessica Blue”, a musical narrative in which Grimmie plays Jessica Blue – who is plagued by self-doubt, insecurities, and boyfriend issues while trying to find her voice and path in life.
After taking in the advice from her loved ones, she finally finds the inner strength to power through her inner demons when she takes centre stage to perform “Without Him” in front of a passionate crowd. The song slowly builds, from each verse to the chorus before closing on a triumphant falsetto high note.
Watch below:
The clip ties everything around, when Jessica gets to confront the boyfriend about his affair, lending to some sort of closure to the whole saga. Her performance showcase was also especially impactful, given the context of her death.
It is highly likely that “Without Him” is the last music video we’ll ever get from Grimmie, which makes this visual piece all the more heart wrenching to watch. But nevertheless, her music legacy will always live on through her music.

This is not the last you’ll see of Grimmie though. The late singer will also be making her posthumous acting debut in the romantic comedy titled, “The Matchbreaker”. The movie is scheduled to premiere on 7th October.
