To quote Clash Music’s Joe Zadeh, who gave Lorde’s album “Pure Heroine” (2013) a 9/10, “‘Lorde’ itself is her homemade feminisation of the noble noun”.
A demanding Lorde fan recently left an angry comment on her Instagram and the 19-year-old New Zealander shut that fan down with the perfect reply.
The angry fan posted, “Do you think we will ever get another album or should we just give up on you as an artiste?”, to which the “Royals” singer replied:
“Give up on me if you want to! I’m an artiste, I write a record when I have enough special stories to tell, and it’s all me, every melody, every lyric, not some team who just start the machine up every 18 months like clockwork.
The record is written, we’re in the production stage now. I’ve worked like a dog for a year making this thing great for you guys,” indicating that her sophomore album is already in the works!
So there you have it folks, confirmation by the Kiwi pop star herself!
Singer-songwriter Lorde, real name Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor, released her first studio album “Pure Heroine” in 2013 and the title track “Royals” won “Song Of The Year” and “Best Pop Solo Performance” at the 2014 Grammy Awards.
