The much-awaited concert of the year is right around the corner. The Weeknd’s concert is set to take place in Kuala Lumpur on the 4th and 5th of November this year. In conjunction with that, Live Nation Malaysia has released a Fan Journey Guide to assist concertgoers in planning and navigating to and from TM Stadium Nasional.
As multiple events are scheduled across KL Sports City on the same dates, expect heavier traffic, limited parking bays, and increased pedestrian movement around the complex.
Concertgoers are strongly encouraged to use public transport, allow extra travel time, and arrive early to ensure a smoother, more enjoyable concert experience.
The Fan Journey Guide outlines key travel information, including public transport connections, e-hailing services, parking alternatives, stadium access and post-show departure arrangements.
Public Transport: The Recommended Way to Travel
Fans are encouraged to take the LRT Sri Petaling Line to Bukit Jalil Station, which provides convenient pedestrian access to TM Stadium Nasional.
- Concertgoers should ensure their Touch ‘n Go cards have sufficient balance for their return journeys and check the latest train schedules and service updates via the PULSE app or the myrapid.com.my website.
- Park N’ Ride facilities are also available at selected LRT stations.
- Standard LRT operating hours will apply unless otherwise announced by the rail operator, and fans are advised to plan their return journeys accordingly.
- Fans travelling from the western Klang Valley are encouraged to consider using Park N’ Ride facilities around Kinrara, Puchong and Putra Heights, or e-hailing services to access alternative LRT stations along the Sri Petaling Line when travelling to and from Bukit Jalil Station.
- For fans heading home to Puchong, Sunway, Subang Jaya and Shah Alam after the concert, Alam Sutera Station, located just four stations away from Bukit Jalil Station, offers an alternative route that may help fans avoid longer waiting times, ease congestion and support more efficient passenger distribution across the Rapid KL network.
E-Hailing and Parking Arrangements
- Pick-up and drop-off are not permitted along Jalan Merah Caga and Jalan Barat.
- All e-hailing pick-ups and drop-offs should take place only at the designated E-Hailing Hub at Endah Parade.
- Ride-sharing and carpooling are also encouraged to help minimise the number of vehicles travelling to the area.
- For those driving, parking bays within KL Sports City will be limited. Alternative parking options are available at MRANTI Park and Calvary Convention Centre, subject to availability and the respective operators’ arrangements.
- With several events taking place within the complex, motorists should expect considerable delays, particularly along Jalan Merah Caga, Jalan Barat and surrounding access roads. Traffic restrictions may also be implemented to manage vehicle and pedestrian movement.
- Fans are advised to familiarise themselves with the designated parking areas and access routes before travelling.
Post-show Crowd Management and Departure
To support safe and orderly crowd movement, one-way exit routes and staggered crowd dispersal arrangements will be implemented following the concert.
- Concertgoers should follow directional signage and instructions from event personnel when exiting the stadium.
- Longer waiting times are anticipated at LRT stations, e-hailing pick-up points and parking exits as crowds depart from the various events taking place across KL Sports City.
- Fans are encouraged to remain patient, follow the designated routes and allow additional time for their journeys home.
Plan Ahead. Arrive Ready. Enjoy the Show.
Live Nation Malaysia urges concertgoers to review the Fan Journey Guide before setting off, familiarise themselves with the stadium layout and transport arrangements, and arrive well ahead of the scheduled show time.
