You’ve seen the teaser trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” (as well as the Korean promo video), but soon, you’ll feel the force awaken from the dark side and possibly, the light side too.
Brace yourselves. The official trailer for the highly anticipated space opera will be released at full force (no puns intended) soon.
On 18th October (Sunday), Disney and Lucasfilm announced that the official full trailer for the movie will be dropped during the halftime break of ESPN’s “Monday Night Football”. The game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia will start at 8:15 pm ET (about 8am on Tuesday, 20th October in Malaysia).
Since we are only 2 months from the release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, the studios decided to surprise fans with its official theatrical poster and some new teasers too.
Check out the beautiful poster below:
Mark Hamill‘s Luke Skywalker is nowhere to be seen in the offical poster, which begs the question: “What happens to Luke?” There is no immediate answer to that question, but it definitely got us curious if his character is being kept as a bigger surprise for the film.
Directed by J.J. Abrams, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is written by Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan. The previous film in what was a 6-movie series, “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith”, was released in 2005.
Harrison Ford and Peter Mayhew are returning to reprise their respective roles as Han Solo and his old friend Chewbacca.
The official synopsis has yet to be released, but the story is set around 30 years after the events of 1983’s “Return of the Jedi”.
The upcoming sequel stars Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, and Adam Driver as Kylo Ren. Oscar Isaac, who will be seen next as Apoalypse in “X-Men: Apocalypse“, is portraying Poe Dameron, an elite pilot who has been sent on a mission.
