We know, we know, December seems like a long time to wait, but at least the team behind “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is doing they can to keep fans super duper excited.
A new 30-second Korean promo for the highly anticipated geek film has been released, showing much of what we’ve all already seen in other glimpses at the 7th installment of the geek flick, but it also teases the return of the dark side. In the short trailer, an ominous voice can be heard saying, “There has been an awakening. Have you felt it?”
Ooh, mysterious!
Set 30 years after the “Return of the Jedi”, the upcoming “Star Wars” sequel will see some old fan favourites return (Harrison Ford and Peter Mayhew! Carrie Fisher! Mark Hamill omg!) as well as a new wave of heroes and villains hitting the silver screen. Directed and co-written by J.J. Abrams, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will also star John Boyega, Daisy Ridler, Adam Driver, Pip Anderson, Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie, Oscar Isaac, and Lupita Nyong’o, amongst others.
The film has been projected to be such a successful box office hit that plans for the next “Star Wars” film aka “Star Wars: Episode VIII” are already being put in place as we speak! Rian Johnson is directing the next installment, which is expected to start shooting early next year and is set for a 26th May 2017 release date. Ram Bergman is producing the film with Lucasfilm’s Kathy Kennedy.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will hit theatres on 18th December 2015.
Meanwhile, here’s something a little closer to home – Royal Selangor is slated to launch a special “Star Wars” collaboration in a couple of days. You might want to get your hands on some of ’em timeless collectibles. Deets here.
