The anticipation for Zack Snyder’s upcoming DC Comics film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is getting so far out of control that both movie buffs and comic fans have begun to speculate the debut of its teaser trailer.
The first teaser trailer was previously rumoured to arrive with “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies”, a New Line (Warner Bros.’ sister company) film that was released on 17th Dec 2014. The rumour originated from a report by the insiders of a Batman fansite, Batman-On-Film.
The 20-second video is said to be the same teaser trailer that was shown at the Warner Bros panel during the San Diego Comic-Con 2014, which was heavily focused on the Caped Crusader instead of the Man of Steel.
However, rumour is still a rumour because no trailer or footage of the film was shown during the screening of the final “The Hobbit” film. The rumour was put to rest for a while until one of Latino Review’s writers, Umberto Gonzalez, broke the news that a teaser trailer for the movie is set to arrive with “Jupiter Ascending” next month.
Warner Bros has yet to respond to the reports but The Projection List confirmed that it is indeed going to be released on the same day as “Jupiter Ascending”.
The Projection List is a new movie website that contains “the entire cinematic release schedule”, including the official & projected dates for all theatrical, home, and trailer releases”. The site claims that the clues about the trailer were given based on “a project’s shooting schedule, distributor, subject matter, director, cast, etc.”.
In this case, it is possible to see a very brief footage of a new film during the screening of “Jupiter Ascending”, especially after “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” wrapped its filming last December.
Other films that might debut some new footages with “Jupiter Ascending” include “Furious 7”, “Magic Mike XXL”, and “The Man from U.N.C.L.E”.
“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is scheduled to hit cinemas on 25th March 2016.
