Are you ready for Malaysia’s biggest social media festival? You better be! Because we hear that some of your favourite YouTubers are coming to our very own sunny Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!
For the past few days, local radio DJ and YouTube genius Jin Lim (of JinnyboyTV) has been teasing us about a mysteriously named #OHHSOME event. The homegrown Malaysian talent promised that he’d release more details at 3pm on 14th Nov, Friday – that’s today, and he has! Are you ready for it? ;)

For the first time, #OHHSOME Fest will be celebrating the glory of social media in Malaysia with a cross-platform event that will be the first of its kind in Malaysia. The #OHHSOME Fest organising team is made up of social media activists, social media agencies, and also homegrown brands that have all been a part of the growth of the social media scene in Malaysia.
This first-ever #OHHSOME Fest is also a joint collaboration between key pioneers behind Malaysia’s emerging social media community and Hotlink, the prepaid brand of Maxis, and it’ll be a 2-day event on 13th Dec (Saturday) from 10am – 11pm and 14th Dec (Sunday) from 10am – 6pm at Avenue K.
Among the highlights of the event are such as:
- Renowned international Youtubers like Wong Fu & David Choi will be showcasing their work in video production and music.
- Homegrown Youtube celebrities including Elizabeth Tan, Altimet, Narmi, & Joseph Germani will be among the performers onstage with more to be announced.
- Local businesses comprising of Instagram/ blog and online retailers will make up the bazaar offering a variety of products and services.
- Talks from social media leaders from the region to educate the public on how they can too use the Internet and social media to improve their business or simply ways to monetise their social media platforms.
