2 Year Of The Snake Watches From Oris & G-SHOCK Let Luck Slither In Around Your Wrist

The Year of the Snake is almost upon us, and if you’re looking for an exceptional watch to round out your wardrobe for the occasion, then check out these exceptional pieces we’ve found for you.

From an exquisite luxury chronograph to a rugged beast of a watch, here are gorgeous timepieces for you to rock for an auspicious Lunar New Year:

Oris ProPilot X Year Of The Snake Limited Edition

The luxury Swiss watchmaker Oris is a decorated force in the industry, manufacturing only the highest-quality watches throughout the generations. The brand has also been known for celebrating every major occasion, making watches for all seasons; the same goes for the upcoming Year of the Snake. Curiously enough, the Chinese celebration coincides with company’s 120 years of timekeeping excellence – so Oris will be celebrating both occasions with an exclusive timepiece.

Symbolising fresh beginnings, the ProPilot X Year of the Snake Limited Edition is the latest venture in experimental watches. Inspired by the snake of the Chinese zodiac, the watch captures the essence of the reptile’s appearance and spirit. Together with its brushed 44mm titanium case and bracelet, its skeletonised dial’s vibrant cyan hue creates an invigorating synergy.

Oris’ proprietary 115 calibre, which has a 10-day power reserve and a patented non-linear power reserve indicator, powers this limited-edition timepiece. Of course the design is no slouch either.

On its face, the golden hand that cycles through digits has been perfectly shaped to be reminiscent of a snake’s tongue, while the caseback is engraved with special markings signifying the Year of the Snake.

2 New Drops From Formex & Cartier Serve Luxe Adventure Vibes For The Gods!

With only 88 pieces available, the ProPilot X Year of the Snake Limited Edition is a must-have for those who feel 2025 will be their year. Retailing for RM40,000, this exclusive timepiece will be available for purchase via the Oris webstore in late January.

G-SHOCK GSTB400CX-1A

If you’re looking for something more rugged, then G-SHOCK has you covered with its limited-edition GSTB400CX-1A timepiece. The new reference, which was created to commemorate the Year of the Snake, combines cultural symbolism with G-SHOCK’s well-known dedication to durability and innovation.

This analog-digital chronograph, the newest model in the G-STEEL line, combines functionality and bold design. Featuring a sturdy stainless-steel band and a dual-coil motor that turns the disc dial at nine o’clock, the watch is decorated in an elegant colour scheme of silver, black, and gold with gold accents.

Symbolic elements are deeply woven into the design, namely the scale-like patterns that can be seen on the watch band, buttons, and dial. Its fine details are emphasised by the metal keeper, gold IP buttons, and vapour deposition treatments on the dial markings. The Ouroboros emblem, which features a serpent consuming its own tail and represents infinity, unity, and the never-ending cycle of renewal, is also featured prominently on the caseback.

As usual, the watch incorporates cutting-edge technology, such as a 200-meter water resistance, a shock-resistant structure, Tough Solar power, Bluetooth® Smartphone Link, and a number of other features like multiple alarms, a stopwatch, and a world time. These characteristics, along with the watch’s elegant design, make it a useful and fashionable item.

2 Drops From ALTO & Bremont Reimagine Flagship Watches Into Straight Fire!

Retailing for US$380 (~RM1,713), the GSTB400CX-1A is available for purchase now via G-SHOCK’s official website as well as retail partners.
