Seiko Presage Craftsmanship In Enamel With Roman Numerals
Seiko has unveiled a new enamel dial with Roman numerals as part of its Presage Craftsmanship Series. This watch honours the Japanese watch company’s illustrious railway watches and its lengthy tradition of accurate timekeeping.
With reference number SPB495J1, the new Presage watch is modelled after one of Seiko’s first designs, the 1895 Timekeeper pocket watch, which is notable as one of the company’s first forays into the precision timekeeping market. This allusion to the past highlights Seiko’s unwavering dedication to precision and artistry.
The company’s Type 19 Pocket Watch was the first to be approved as a railway watch in Japan in 1929. These watches’ designs continued to improve accuracy and legibility while maintaining the fundamental dimensions and style of the fob watch.
The white enamel dial of the new Presage watch, which has a rail track design around the edge, is an exact replica of the original Timekeeper’s dial. The clean dial is given a splash of colour by the handsets, which are drenched in a metallic blue and adorned with Roman numerals. Seiko’s proprietary 6R5H automatic calibre, which has a 24-hour indicator at six o’clock, a three-day power reserve, and an accuracy of -15/+25 seconds per day, powers the SPB495J1. It is finished with a black calf leather strap that comes from a tanner certified by LWG, guaranteeing sustainability and quality.

Frederique Constant Classic Tourbillon Manufacture
Frederique Constant has revealed a new edition of the Classic Tourbillon Manufacture, which is a direct descendant of the 18k pink gold models from 2023. The new timepiece, which now comes in a polished three-part stainless steel case, has a palm green sunray dial with a case diameter of 39mm.
Silver-coloured diamond-cut indices are used to decorate the dial, and the hour and minute hands match. The tourbillon, which uses a tiny hand to provide seconds of reading, dominates the 6 of the clock position.
The Maison’s self-winding FC-980 manufacture movement, which is entirely designed and built in-house, powers this watch. The transparent caseback allows you to see the movement, which beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a 38-hour power reserve. The new watch has a palm green alligator leather strap with tonal stitching that matches the dial’s soothing colour.
