For nearly 250 years, the Swiss watchmaker Breguet has been decorating the wrists of common and noblefolk alike with exquisite timepieces across the generations. Through the years, the brand’s prestigious artisans have kept their most illustrious creations behind closed doors – until now.
Presenting the Marine Tourbillon Équation Marchante 5887! This elegant timepiece comes in a 44mm case made of refined platinum. This shimmering metal pairs nicely with its black dial, whose very face has been hand-guillochéd by master artisans.
The metal is further contrasted by a black textured rubber strap, which is further accented by a triple-blade platinum folding clasp.
Aside from superb construction, the timepiece features three high-end mechanisms; each portion has been intricately created to evoke a sense of opulence: the Equation Marchante (the running equation of time), perpetual calendar, and tourbillon.
Two minute hands on the Equation Marchante allow it to simultaneously read the difference between mean and true solar time. A gold-plated and fluted ring-tipped hand reads true solar time, while a Breguet-style hand with a lumed tip indicates mean solar time.

Nivada Grenchen Antarctic GMT
While Breguet is creating works of art for those looking for a more elegant class of watch, Nivada Grenchen is unearthing a historic timepiece straight from the archives.
The independent Swiss watchmaker is bringing back the Antarctic GMT model for us to enjoy once again. This faithful recreation features all the vintage design aspects that we know and love from the original, alongside some relatively recent upgrades that have been subtly applied to the piece.
One of the standout features is the chronograph’s matte black dial pair with a two-tone GMT ring with lume-filled hour markers and baton-style hands. At the side of its 36mm watch case are two crowns, one for the 24-hour bezel, while the other alters the watch’s settings.
Its dazzling steel body is paired with a stitched brown leather wriststrap, which provides that rustic and vintage contrast to a newly constructed timepiece. However, besides the brown band, users are offered the option of a steel bracelet, called “Beads of Rice,” as well as a black leather strap.
Under the hood is a SOPROD GMT movement, a precision timekeeping powerhouse that also provides 42 hours of power reserve. To top it all off, the timepiece boasts the golden medallion emblem with a penguin, showcasing the timepiece’s rich and illustrious heritage.
