Some might find this shocking, while others may have suspected it for some time now, but it is still unexpected when Xiaxue (real name Wendy Cheng Yan Yan) officially announced her split from Mike Sayre, her husband of 13 years.
Xiaxue and Mike tied the knot in in 2010 after connecting online and welcomed their first child – Dashiel – in March 2013. According to the OG Singaporean influencer, the pair have been separated for awhile now. If you notice, her American baby daddy hasn’t appeared on her social media feed since 2021.
Her statement reads:
“After 17 years of being together, Mike and I have decided, mutually and amicably, to end our marriage. This announcement may come as a surprise to many of you, but we have actually been separated for a long time now.
We both took a long time to come to this decision, and it’s not an easy one to make. This may not be the fairytale ending that everyone wishes for, but 17 years is a long time and we had a good run with loads of love, happiness and memories formed together. Unfortunately nothing lasts forever. Our focus now is on co-parenting Dash and continuing to support each other as we move forward in separate lives.”
Xiaxue ended her emotional post with an apology to her followers now that “this love story has come to an end”. Divorce is never easy, even more so when there’s a child involved. We sincerely hope that this transition can be as smooth as possible when it comes to co-parenting their 10-year-old boy.
It feels like just yesterday when the influencer was casually talking about her first sexual experience with Mike and fetishes.
