Star Wars has landed in Waze!
Star Wars is a beloved, global franchise with a passionate fan-base that overlaps greatly with the Waze community. With the premiere of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” on 17th December, this is the perfect opportunity to unite Wazers around the world and have some fun in the car.
As an expert who assists in etiquette, customs and translation, the co-pilot in the new Waze Voice Prompt is none other than C-3PO, the human cyborg relations who is fluent in over 6 million forms of communication.
Let C-3PO guide you on the fastest route as he searches for his buddies R2-D2 and BB-8.
Wazers can also find Road goodies on the Waze Map including stormtroopers, TIE fighters and lightsabers. Keep a lookout for the rare R2-D2 and BB-8 goodies to score extra points.
To activate C3PO’s voice in your preferred language, select Menu→ Settings → Sound → Voice Language. To join The Force Awakens Team and earn points and the team badge, select Menu → My Waze → Teams → The Force Awakens.
The Voice Prompt will be available from 22nd November to 31st December 2015 and can be downloaded on iOS and Android smartphones.
