“Ho, ho, holiday! It’s a holiday.”
Following the reveal of Sunny’s individual concept photos, SM Entertainment has finally dropped the MV teaser for Girls’ Generation’s “Holiday”. Featuring the members in cute and colourful outfits, the clip shows the girls dancing happily against a sunset backdrop.
According to their label, Girls’ Generation (소녀시대) will promote double title tracks – “Holiday” and “All Night” – for their long-awaited comeback. The 10th anniversary studio album, titled “Holiday Night”, marks the group’s first release since “Lion Heart” in 2015.
Upon seeing the video teaser, SONEs (as Girls’ Generation’s fans are affectionately known) expressed their excitement on social media. “The best gift I’ve ever had,” commented Facebook user Oudom. Meanwhile, netizen Fern wrote, “The real queens of K-pop are back!”
Girls’ Generation made their debut in 2007 with “Into The New World”. The group is currently made up of 8 members: Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, YoonA, and Seohyun.
Slated for a digital release on 4th August, “Holiday Night” consists of 10 tracks including “Sweet Talk”, “Only You”, “Light Up To Sky”, “Love Is Bitter”, as well as “Girls Are Back”. The physical album will be released on 7th August.
