It’s nice to see that more and more beloved artists are returning to our local shores with their world tours. Following Chinese icons like Jacky Cheung, AMei, and Eason Chan is Wakin Chau (周華健) aka Emil Chau.
It’s just been confirmed that the 62-year-old Taiwanese singer-actor will be entertaining fans when he visits Malaysia after a 5-year hiatus. The “少年侠客” (“Shao Nian Xia Ke” ) tour will see Wakin reflecting on his 37- year musical journey in the entertainment field.
According to concert organiser Star Planet, the “少年侠客” (“Shao Nian Xia Ke” ) concert is designed to unfold dual themes, with first part showcasing popular movie soundtracks by Wakin in the 90s – infused with an updated flair. The second segment will delve into the performer’s timeless and beloved melodies, fresh interpretations and compositions to these songs. Needless to say, fans can expect the venue to be transformed with visually striking aesthetics that reflect the contrasting themes.
