Nothing brings people together like a good meal. After all, that’s why we invite people out to eat or host dinner parties at our homes! However, the last thing you want to do on a Saturday is clean up after others. Well, why not have a lazy brunch at W Kuala Lumpur’s The Social Table instead?

Held on the first Saturday of every month, The Social Table promises good food, and a chill atmosphere but you’ll have to bring your own good company, of course! We were given the opportunity to attend this month’s brunch and here’s what we thought of it.

To begin with, W Kuala Lumpur hosts The Social Table at their Pan-Asian dining restaurant, Flock. Patrons can choose to sit outdoors and enjoy some fresh air and great view, or indoors for a comfortable and relaxing environment. Either way, you’re sure to have a wonderful atmosphere to chit chat and relax.

But, don’t forget the food! After all, a nice catch-up is always better when it’s not on an empty stomach. Regardless of whether you’re a picky eater or a an adventurous connoisseur, The Social Table guarantees something for everyone with their semi-buffet concept. From warm toasty pastries, a curated selection of sushi and sashimi, with a generous helping of seafood and various desserts to sweeten the deal, you’ll definitely have a delectable and filling meal.

However, we do suggest leaving some room to sample signature dishes of chefs from The Social Table. Each month features a different chef with plenty of culinary experience under their belt. This promises a different gourmet experience for each brunch.

The month of May highlighted works from Willow’s Chef Leroy Lim who has trained all over the world, and Flock’s Head Chef Suhalmi Md Tasir. Together, the duo brought their Japanese and Western specialties to the table. However, June will feature Executive Chef Mattia Salussoglia from The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi.

Of course, a good meal isn’t complete without drinks. Patrons can decide between alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to complement their meal. Additionally, do try their unique concoctions which uses local fruits for a refreshing surprise.

W Kuala Lumpur will be hosting The Social Table again on 4th June from 12pm to 3pm. Visitors can choose between the non-alcoholic package (RM198 per person) or alcohol package (RM328 per person). Each package promises limitless starters, desserts and one main.

Well, it’s time to free up your first Saturday of the month to enjoy a meal and good company! After all, nothing expresses a laidback Saturday better than a relaxing brunch.
