When you get locked out of your house, you either wait for someone to open the door, call a locksmith or break the door down and deal with the consequences later on. For this woman, her solution for getting locked out was none of the above but one that seemed very fun!

Taking to Facebook, Tammy Kin Nee shared how she got into her apartment in Taman Amaniah Mulia, Batu Caves after she got locked out. As shown in her Facebook video, the live broadcast host got into her locked apartment using a crane that took her up four storeys high so she could climb over her balcony. While the process took some time, Tammy managed to climb over the balcony and enter her apartment in one piece.

Speaking to a local news outlet, Tammy revealed that she rented a crane because it was cheaper than calling a locksmith. She explained that her electronic lock was malfunctioning and she didn’t have the master key. After consulting a locksmith, she calculated that it would cost her at least RM800 because they would have to break down the door. Additionally, it would take another RM1,000 to get her electronic lock fixed if they broke it during the process.

Given the high cost, Tammy decided not to pay for the locksmith and, instead, found her peculiar solution when she noticed someone using a crane to cut down a tree outside her apartment building. Interestingly, renting a crane cost RM500, which Tammy thought was a better deal than calling a locksmith.

Many netizens were amused at Tammy’s method of getting into her locked apartment. Many called the 40-year-old brave for willingly riding four storeys on the crane just to avoid breaking down her door. However, some also praised her creative way of saving a few hundred.

It does seem like a fun way of getting into your house – but let’s hope Tammy won’t have to call another crane anytime soon.
