Yesterday (11th February 2025, Tuesday), Taiwanese boyband ENERGY greeted hundreds of fans at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The night before the event, the group visited Alor Street to “greet” the King of Fruits, durian.
On 10th February 2025 (Monday), the quintet broadcasted live on Instagram to share their adventures at the Alor Street night market. After walking the food street, the group checked out a stall selling durian-filled pancakes and egg waffles. The attention quickly shifted to members Toro, Edy (阿弟) and Milk (牛奶), who had never tried the stinky fruit. The trio then challenged themselves to try the durian treats, evoking a hilarious reaction.
Out of the three, Toro had the most visceral reaction to durian. Upon smelling the durian egg waffle, the 43-year-old immediately stepped back. Unfortunately for him, his cheeky members then shoved the waffle into his mouth, forcing him to take a bite. While Toro almost spat it out, he bravely swallowed the waffle since the stall owner was looking on. As some fans were with them during the time, the group also offered a lucky few a bite of the egg waffle.
On the other hand, Milk found the durian treats rather pleasant. He even finished half of a durian-filled waffle, while Toro had difficulty getting it down. The group then moved to a durian stall to try out the fruit. The experience proved difficult for Toro, who even joked about quitting the group for a day to avoid eating the durian. However, his groupmates Shuwei (書偉) and KunDa (坤達) seemed to enjoy themselves, happily downing a box of the fruit.
While their Alor Street adventure ended with mixed reactions, all five members did have a great time during their meet and greet at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. As shown in videos, ENERGY performed a few songs, signed posters for their fans and even played a fun little game. The event hyped fans for the group’s upcoming concert on 5th April 2025 (Saturday) at Axiata Arena.
