Whenever international celebrities visit Malaysia, they often go to popular places recommended by fans or their local guides. It’s not common for these celebrities to directly respond to fans’ suggestions on social media, but this particular fan had the interaction of a lifetime.
Indonesian actor Nicholas Saputra recently made a special appearance in Malaysia alongside Biduanita Negara Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza for the Calpis Soda One In A Million (CSOIAM) finale concert. However, before it was announced that he would be in the country, the actor was caught up in Twitter conversation that ended with a fan, who goes by @/jjhwonu on Twitter, playfully offering to cook him Nasi Lemak if he makes his way to Kuala Lumpur.

Fast forward to last weekend, the “Ada Apa dengan Cinta?” star posted a photo of an empty plate with the caption, “Where’s my Nasi Lemak?”, seemingly responding to the fan’s original tweet. The post has since gone viral, with many tagging the Twitter user whom the Indonesian superstar indirectly mentioned.
In addition, local media even interviewed him backstage at the aforementioned recent event regarding the Nasi Lemak post. When asked if he planned to meet the fan, Nicholas replied that, unfortunately, he had no time, as his visit was short. “I just want my Nasi Lemak, that’s all,” he told reporters with a smile. As expected, @/jjhwonu was obviously overjoyed by the 40-year-old’s response to her post.

The fan reposted the video on her Twitter to express her excitement, while also feeling devastated that she might have to wait until the actor visits Malaysia again to fulfil her promise. “This is the end of us, I guess???? This is the ending 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭,” she wrote. Many replied to her tweet saying that she should’ve attended the CSOIAM so she could pass to him the Nasi Lemak. Others suggested that Nicholas will forever associate the famous dish with the fan as she certainly made an impact.
Here’s the video of him responding to the fan’s offer:
