It’s known to many that veteran Hong Kong actor Chow Yun Fat (周润发) lives an active lifestyle, with one of his hobbies being running. However, recently, netizens noticed several lumps on his legs, igniting rumours that the 69-year-old may have a tumour growing on his limbs. Thankfully, as the actor explained, those suspicious lumps aren’t a health risk.
Recently, Chow Yun Fat made a rare public appearance with his wife, Jasmine Tan, at a CHANEL event. During an interview with the press, the actor cleared up the months-long rumours about the lumps on his legs. According to Chow Yun Fat, the ping-pong ball-sized lumps on his legs were merely subcutaneous fat, typical with age. He added that the lumps disappeared after a quick massage and weren’t painful or uncomfortable.

However, the public figure admitted that he wasn’t too concerned about the lumps because of the small size, but he would’ve gone to the doctor if it was bigger. In addition to clearing up rumours about a tumour, Chow Yun Fat also spoke about his love for running, revealing that he currently runs 8-10 kilometres daily. He also said he’s running a 10K marathon next month and aims to participate in a half-marathon next year.
South Korean superstar G-Dragon (지드래곤) also attended the CHANEL event. Upon hearing of his attendance, Chow Yun Fat briefly showed his fondness for the BIGBANG (빅뱅) rapper, saying he wanted to take a photo with him while at the event. However, when reporters asked if he’d ever post the picture online, the actor laughed, saying he doesn’t have social media accounts. He also said he doesn’t plan to open one anytime soon, joking that he doesn’t want people to know his whereabouts.

If you’re curious, the two international stars did end up taking a photo together, along with actress Carina Lau (劉嘉玲). On the other hand, fans can rest knowing that the veteran actor is healthy and happy. Chow Yun Fat also seemed lively when interacting with reporters, so we hope he’ll keep up the energy for years.
