Looking for love isn’t always easy, let alone finding it. Some people get to live out their picture-perfect romance story with their soulmates, while others struggle to maintain the relationship. Celebrity love stories are always a hot topic, as many feel like they could relate to the couple or at least believe that they, too, would one day find the right partner.
Speaking of finding the right partner, local content creator Mekyun recently revealed that although she doesn’t really care about race, her preference does appear to lean towards Malay men and has even dated one in the past. If you think you might have a chance with the 28-year-old, here’s what she’s looking for in a future partner:
Mekyun recently appeared as a guest on an episode of the “Sembang Seram” podcast hosted by Safwan Nazri. Aside from sharing her experiences with the supernatural, the influencer also opened up about her dating life. “I used to have a Malay boyfriend,” she said. “I’m a bit embarrassed to share this now [laughs], but one thing I really liked about this particular Malay man was his way of thinking. He was very family-oriented and always put his family first.”
Safwan then asked the public figure about her physical preferences in a man. She replied that she’s attracted to men with big eyes, a sharp nose, tall stature, and a mature way of thinking. “The two features I look for in Malay men are big eyes and a sharp nose. I like a macho, manly man. And, of course, he has to be a gentleman — that’s the most important thing. He must respect me and my family,” she added.
Netizens in the comments section went on to name a few celebrities who fit Mekyun’s description and preferences, including Anas Khalid and Zul Ariffin. Others, of course, joked that their facial features had “suddenly changed” in hopes of catching the internet personality’s attention. Here’s hoping Mekyun finds the man of her dreams one day.
