According to the video, the user @/safri9631, who captured the video at Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), can be seen following the kids around from a distance, explaining to the viewers that these aren’t Malaysians, whereas they are foreign nationals. He also said the kids are walking around to find anyone who would fall victim to their pleas.

He then confronts a man who can be seen signing some instructions to the kids. Upon questioning by the user, the man claims that he is from Ampang and is collecting donations for a religious school in Abdul Jeli. After questioning the man, @/safri9631 even told him that he was recording the video and would be sending it to the legal authorities. Local netizens expressed their frustration and frustrations towards the video, surely claiming that these were people from Rohingya.

Many commented that the user should’ve asked the man for his identification card for further confirmation. There was a user who jokingly questioned if the religious school even existed or not. Some wondered why there is an insufficient amount of patrol officers in the area to keep an eye out for these happenings. Other netizens claimed that this isn’t a new issue in tourist areas, as the number of beggars is even on the rise in Bukit Bintang as well.
