Singer Shila Amzah recently alleged that she was assaulted by veteran rock artist Amy Search during a concert rehearsal in a claim that has shocked many. According to reports, the incident was triggered by something Shila had posted on social media. Despite the controversy, the mother-of-two has urged fans not to involve Nabila Huda, the daughter of the rock legend, as she had no part in the matter.
The songstress filed a police report shortly after the incident, and investigations are still ongoing. In one of her recent Instagram Stories, she revealed that Amy was not alone at the time of the alleged assault. However, little was known about who else was involved until very recently. During a group interview with the media, Shila Amzah shared more details about the viral incident involving rock artist Amy Search. She clarified that, although he did not physically assault her and the altercation was purely verbal, the words he used were harsh and deeply triggering for her. “I definitely felt threatened and unsafe since we were going to be seeing each other later. That’s why I filed a police report. It’s for my own safety,” she added.
She told reporters that the rocker had essentially screamed at her during rehearsals, with the stage crew, musicians and clients all present and completely shocked by his actions. “The last thing he said to me was, ‘You’ll get what’s coming!’, before my manager pulled me aside to prevent the situation from escalating,” the vocalist said.
Shila also mentioned that Amy Search’s wife was there at the time, watching her from afar with a piercing gaze and arms crossed. Believing that the couple will come for her later, the 34-year-old’s team advise her to file the police report just in case.
When asked about the social media post that allegedly triggered Amy Search’s reaction, Shila Amzah explained that it was simply part of a conversation between her and Nabila Huda, as both had gone through similar experiences growing up with divorced parents. “I was just agreeing with her post, that’s all. I’ve had a similar experience. I didn’t mention any names, direct my opinions at anyone, nor was I the only one who commented on the topic,” she clarified.
As for a restraining order, Shila said she has no plans to take such action and will allow the police to continue their investigation before determining the most appropriate next course of action. At the time of writing, neither Amy Search nor his team have issued a statement regarding the alleged incident involving Shila Amzah. Let’s hope that this issue will be resolved peacefully.
