Shila Amzah made her relationship with influencer Ubai Mz official this past week. Many fans reacted postively to the news. Some even gave the couple the nickname “Shibai”!
The singer appeared in an interview on the TV show “Melodi” over the weekend, where she revealed some more interesting deets about their budding romance. According to Shila, both she and Ubai have been friends for quite some time.
“We have been buddies for a long time. Actually, nothing much has changed in our relationship. We started out as friends, before progressing to a more serious relationship. Please pray for the best for us,” the “Memori Tercipta” singer told the interviewer.
Shila has been bombarded about her relationship status ever since her divorce was finalised. Therefore, she decided it’s probably best to be transparent. “People will ask when they see us going out together often, so I’m just going to be straightforward. (It’s) as simple as that! This year, I don’t want to cover things up anymore,” she said.
Of course, as a famous figure, Shila herself couldn’t avoid nasty allegations surrounding her relationship with the TikTok star. In particular, words spread like wildfire when it was speculated that Shila had “stolen” Ubai from his now-former lover.
“Everyone knows Ubai is an influencer. He also has learned something from the past. If you read or came across the accusation on the internet, it is false. Sometimes, this issue is paid by the company. All these things, they are only for marketing. The company will create stories to hype things up,” Shila commented.
