While there are influencers who have a bad rep, there are still influencers who instead use their platform to help out people in need or give back to society. Recently, a local influencer received praise from netizens for his videos where he provided financial help to a man in need.
A social media guru and influencer, Abang Naz, recently uploaded a video onto TikTok, the first of a few that documented him helping out an elderly known as Tok Wan. In the video, the influencer had bought the man’s entire stock of dadih or milk curd in English, which he was selling at a hypermarket to raise funds to fix his car.

Upon hearing that the influencer was buying his entire stock, the man couldn’t help but be touched by his generosity, even asking if he could take a picture of Abang Naz, perhaps to keep a memory of the man who helped him. The influencer then gifted the dadih to shopowners and customers in the hypermarket.
However, a bigger surprise was waiting for Tok Wan because, after the video went viral, the influencer revealed that many netizens had chipped in to help pay to fix the 70-year-old’s car. So, in another video, the content creator went to the hypermarket again to present the crowdfunded money to the man and help promote his dadih business.
Netizens couldn’t help but feel touched after witnessing the influencer’s generosity and kindness. One netizen said they were reminded of their father when they saw the elderly man, while another said they couldn’t help but cry watching the video. Some netizens even urged the influencer to continue using his platform to help out those in need.
It was nice of Abang Naz to help Tok Wan out – and we hope to see more positive news from influencers in the future.
