The cheeky CEO of Capital A, Tony Fernandes, is always up to something. Whether it be paying tribute to his longest-serving flight attendant or “punishing” a passenger for bringing food on board, it’s never a boring day with him around!
A couple of days ago (Sunday, 8th December), Tony posted a collaboration video on his Instagram with well-known local DJ Blink (real name Lau Hoe Yin), gaining a ton of attention. In the now-viral clip, the CEO was seen wearing 80s-inspired clothing, complete with a matching lime green vest and pants combo.
Based on a reel by @/jiggeejon on Instagram, we can safely assume that Tony was preparing for AirAsia’s birthday bash, which was sporty disco/G.O.A.T themed. While wearing the disco-inspired attire, he was seen jamming to his private DJ, with headphones connected to Blink’s equipment. Although we couldn’t hear the music playing on his headset by the famous music maker, we could only imagine he was playing the same song featured in the reel, “POWER” by G-DRAGON.
The hilarious video had netizens in stitches, especially given the unexpected collaboration between the two! In the comments section, many expressed their amusement, with some noting the irony of the song, pointing out that the DJ deck wasn’t turned on due to a lack of power connection.
