A content creator who goes by @0110maojian on TikTok recently posted a video of his street performance in the Xinyi District in Taipei. In the video, the busker was seen playing the guitar and performing a duet of the popular song “Learn To Meow” (學貓叫) by Xiao Feng Feng (小峰峰) and Xiao PanPan (小潘潘) with his pet cat that was being held by one of his friends.
The audience joyfully cheered and laughed whenever the singer sang the chorus to the song as his friend brings the orange cat closer to the mic to finish the lyrics which consists of the word “meow”. The musician can also be heard slightly struggling to sing the song as he struggle to contain his laughter whenever his little feline companion successfully finishes the lyrics.
The TikTok post quickly went viral, now reaching over 26 million views, 4.9 million likes, and 37.2k comments at the time of writing. Netizens from all over the world can’t get enough of the precious video with many leaving comments saying that the adorable duet has made their day. However, they were a few who suspect that the owner and his friends had forced the cat to “sing” on cue.
The content creator posted 2 follow-up duet videos, which also went viral with 4 million views and 698k views respectively.
