Huda Beauty founder Huda Kattan is an inspiration to many Malaysian beauty lovers. So, it’s no surprise that many locals were cheering on beauty influencer Sofea Shra during her first meeting with the beauty mogul.
In the past week, Sofea has been posting about her trip to London for the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Intense fragrance launch. The influencer is the only Malaysian and Southeast Asian representative invited to attend the event, which is already a feat in itself. However, for Sofea, the highlight of the trip is meeting Huda herself.
As soon as Sofea entered the room to meet Huda, the beauty entrepreneur immediately started showering her in praise, complimenting her on her outfit and makeup. Sofea also started getting emotional, thanking Huda for the opportunity. During the meeting, the two also filmed a transition for one of Sofea’s videos.
Another proud Malaysian moment came when Sofea dressed Huda in traditional Malaysian attire. The influencer had brought several kebaya options for the meeting, but ultimately dressed Huda in a purple kebaya top with a yellow pario skirt. She then completed the look with a brooch and a scarf (selendang).
While Huda was putting on the kebaya, she commented on how Malaysian women dress, noting that they always look expensive, elegant and royal. She even quipped that she wanted to look like Sofea, who was also wearing a kebaya during the meeting. Huda then thanked Sofea for sharing Malaysian culture with her.
In her follow-up video after meeting Huda, Sofea expressed joy over the opportunity, saying that it was the best thing to have happened to her. Netizens and followers also shared their reactions, congratulating Sofea on the once-in-a-lifetime experience.
