Many of us had dreamed of bumping into our favourite stars while casually walking around the city – but in this case, it was two celebrities who met each other by chance! Malaysian-born actress Jacquelin Ch’ng (庄思敏) recently shared how she randomly met Hong Kong actress Snowy Bai (白云) while at Bukit Bintang.
Jacquelin is active in Hong Kong and Mainland China and recently returned to Malaysia. While sharing about her days in KL, the actress talked about her trip to Bukit Bintang, revealing that she was in the area to film some content for her social media. The vlog-style video starts with the 44-year-old standing by the Bukit Bintang intersection as she posed by an adjacent traffic light for a picture.
The video then shows Jacquelin interacting with a giant cat mascot before posing with it for a photo. In the clip, the public figure mentioned that the intersection opposite Lot 10 Shopping Centre has recently become a hot check-in spot for influencers and, thus, wanted to take some photos of her crossing the street. However, after walking around the area, Jacquelin noticed a familiar face – her friend and fellow actress, Snowy Bai.
It appeared that Snowy was the first to call out for Jacquelin, which must’ve caught the latter off-guard. As the 36-year-old never publicly disclosed why she was in town, we can only assume she was here just for a short trip, following in the footsteps of many other Hong Kong stars. Nevertheless, Jacquelin seemed pleasantly surprised to bump into Snowy in KL. The two then hugged each other and posed for photos before going their separate ways.
Many fans were also surprised that the two stars could randomly meet each other amidst the crowded KL streets. Some even said that perhaps Jacquelin and Snowy were destined to bump into each other. Others jokingly asked when it would be their turn to see either actress in the city. Snowy had also commented on the post, quipping at how quick her friend was at posting about their meeting.
In her video, Jacquelin mentioned that it had been a while since she last met Snowy, so it was interesting to see how they met in KL out of all places. Since many HK stars are currently in Malaysia, we wonder who Jacquelin will meet next.
