You’ll never know what you might see when you attend a concert. Besides good music and company, some have also taken the opportunity to propose to their significant other during a concert. Back in 2017, 2 couples got engaged during Ed Sheeran’s concert in Kuala Lumpur and it looks like the same thing happened again at his most recent show here.
On Saturday (24th February), Ed Sheeran performed for fans at Bukit Jalil National Stadium for his “+ – = ÷ x Tour” following his Singapore pitstop. At one point during the “Perfect” performance, a man in the audience proposed to his girlfriend who was seen wearing a white veil.
In the video posted on Twitter by @carol2611, the man got down on one knee and put the ring on his now-fiancee’s finger while the British singer beautifully sang the popular ballad in the background. “Congrats to the couple beside us who got engaged while Ed was singing ‘Perfect’! It was the perfect proposal!! 💍 #EDSHEERANinKL,” the user captioned the post.
Other audience members seated near them can heard cheering for the lovely couple on their engagement. At the time of writing, there is currently no information on who the lovebirds in the viral video are but regardless, we’d also like to congratulate them on this momentous occasion.
The proposal wasn’t the only unexpected thing that happened during Ed Sheeran’s stay in KL. Actress and host Sarimah Ibrahim also attended the concert with friends and family via personal invite by the UK singer himself. As for how she got the invite, it’s because both she and Ed were seated next to each other during their flight to Malaysia.
“Thank you again Ed for personally inviting us this evening! It was quite surreal for me having sat and chatted with him one moment on a plane as a parent to parent, slept next to him (on the plane people!) and then seeing him like this 😀💯” she tweeted. After they disembarked the plane, the Malaysian celeb added that she accidentally became part of Ed’s entourage as they were seen walking together at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1.
Seems that the 46-year-old and the newly-engaged man are truly grateful to Ed Sheeran for having an impact on their lives. Who knows, perhaps it could be you one day. Watch the two viral posts below:
