Congratulations to Malaysian-born actor Hero Tai (戴祖雄) and his wife, Ukrainian-born model Tatiana Lin (戴佳娜)! After announcing their pregnancy, the couple recently revealed the gender of their second child.
The actor shared a video from the couple’s recent gender reveal party. Back in April, Hero and Tatiana shared the joyous news that they are expecting another baby. The Taiwan-based pair tied the knot in 2023 and welcomed their first child, daughter Karina, that same year. Since Hero and Tatiana are already parents to a daughter, many had hoped for the couple to have a boy.
As shown in the video, many of Hero and Tatiana’s family and friends were invited to the gender reveal party, dressed in pink and blue to celebrate the occasion. The couple revealed the gender of their baby by popping a large balloon, which, when popped, exposes smaller balloons in blue – signalling a son. At the same time, fireworks went off behind the two, unfortunately shocking Tatiana, who fell on her knees.
As the camera pans to show the crowd’s reaction, it stops at Tatiana’s sister, Oliya (歐莉雅). Funnily enough, Oliya seemed to be the most emotional over the news because she was crying profusely. While it was out of joy, Hero couldn’t help but poke fun at her reaction, writing in the captions, “The moment before the fireworks went off, we always thought we’d have a girl, so that’s why Tatiana’s reaction was over-the-top. But why did my sister-in-law cry so miserably?”.
The video sparked many congratulations and joyous comments from fans and netizens. Many congratulated the couple on having a son and expanding their family. At the same time, some wished Tatiana a smooth and safe pregnancy. On the other hand, some expressed amusement at the crowd’s reaction, namely the reaction of the expecting mother, Tatiana, and her sister, Oliya.
Tatiana is expected to deliver sometime in September. We would also like to congratulate the couple and wish them a smooth pregnancy.
