At this point, there’s simply no denying that local VFX artist Sofian, known online as Sofyank96, has skills on par with his idol, Zach King. The content creator has even collaborated with Hollywood stars on several occasions to promote their latest films. His most recent video with SEVENTEEN member Jun (文俊輝/준) drew considerable attention from both Malaysian and international K-pop fans.
The special promo for the idol’s film “The Shadow’s Edge” went viral almost instantly, with many eagerly awaiting more content from the pair, while others were curious about how the VFX video was filmed and edited. The influencer managed to kill 2 birds with 1 stone by sharing behind-the-scenes footage of the recent collaboration. Watch below:

Over the long weekend, Sofian uploaded a new split-screen video on his social media platforms, showing both the behind-the-scenes process and the finished product of “The Shadow’s Edge” promo with K-pop idol and star of the film, Jun, giving viewers an insight into how it was made. “Jun was incredibly friendly and supportive throughout the process, which made the project even more special. This bloopers video is created specially for all of you who want to see the behind-the-scenes of how we made it, hope you enjoy!,” the Malaysian star wrote in his captions.
In the left-side video, the local creator is seen with two assistants helping with the quick switching of props, which made it easier for him to add the visual effects. For the remainder of the scene, the 2 essentially acted with just a single prop in an empty lounge area, with the effects added later in post-production. This highlighted Jun’s acting ability, as he convincingly performed the scene while pretending something was in front of him. The video then cuts to bloopers, showing the singer becoming a little too immersed in his role by acting out the scene longer than intended.

Fans reacted to the post, with many thanking Sofian for the behind-the-scenes content as it gave them the chance to see more of Jun in action. Others expressed how proud they were of the Malaysian artist for representing his country through collaborations with global stars.
Meanwhile, “The Shadow’s Edge” recently surpassed RM10 million in ticket sales in Malaysia, achieving the milestone just 13 days after its release on 16th August 2025. Critics have also described the movie as one of the most visually striking Chinese-language films to hit the Malaysian box office this year.
